If you haven’t heard yet, there’s been a bill (SB 1338) going through the loops here in California which would allow non-doctors to perform surgical 1st trimester abortions. Yeah, think about it for a second. People who aren’t doctors (nurses, midwives, nurse practitioners)……performing a potentially life-threatening procedure. Good idea? I don’t think so.
